Privacy Policy

MathMaker (“we”, “us”) is a math quiz game for iOS and Android made by an independent developer. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the MathMaker app and to this website.
1. Information we collect
- Player identity. The game signs you in automatically with Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android). If neither is available, an anonymous account is created. We receive a player identifier and the public gamer name these services provide — never your email address, password or contacts. There is no separate MathMaker account.
- Game data. Levels and scores (Sigma), statistics, achievements and badges, settings (language, sound), in-game resources (Epsilon, lives, power-ups) and unlocked content. This data is stored on your device and synced to our cloud database so it can be restored when you reinstall on the same platform.
- Purchases. When you buy something, the transaction is handled by the App Store or Google Play. We and our purchase provider receive the product, date and transaction identifier to deliver and restore your items. We never receive your card or bank details.
- Advertising data. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier (on iOS only if you allow tracking), IP address and ad interactions. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland ads are only personalised with your consent.
- Diagnostics and usage. Crash reports and basic device information (model, OS version, app version) through Firebase Crashlytics, and aggregated gameplay events (for example level completed or ad watched) through Firebase Analytics, to fix bugs and balance the game.
- App integrity. Firebase App Check uses Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck and Google Play Integrity to confirm that requests to our servers come from a genuine copy of the app.
2. How we use information
To run the game and save your progress, to deliver and restore purchases, to show ads (and remove them if you buy Remove Ads), to keep leaderboards fair, to prevent cheating and abuse, and to find bugs and improve the game. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your game data for marketing.
3. Legal bases
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, No. 6698) applies, we process data to perform our agreement with you (running the game and your purchases), on the basis of our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, crash reporting and improving the game) and, for personalised advertising and tracking, on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Your advertising choices
- On iOS, the game asks for permission before any tracking (App Tracking Transparency). You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Where required, a consent form lets you choose how ads are personalised. You can reopen it any time from Settings → Privacy Settings in the game.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the device settings.
- The Remove Ads purchase turns off ads in the game.
5. Third-party services
We rely on the following providers, each with its own privacy policy: Apple (Game Center, App Store), Google (Google Play Games, Google Play), Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check, Crashlytics, Analytics), Google AdMob (advertising) and RevenueCat (in-app purchase management).
6. Where data is stored and how it is protected
Cloud data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) servers in the United States. Our providers use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, and transfers outside your country rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Access to our database is limited: you can read only your own data, and in-game currency can only be changed by our servers.
7. Data retention
We keep your game data while you play and for as long as it is needed to restore your progress. Crash and analytics data are kept for the periods set by Firebase (typically up to 90 days for crash reports and up to 14 months for analytics). Purchase records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
8. Your rights and deleting your data
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to certain processing. Because there is no account with an email or password, simply email contact@math-maker.com from any address, mention that you play MathMaker and, if possible, your Game Center or Google Play Games name. We will delete your cloud data and ask our providers (such as RevenueCat) to do the same within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes the data stored on your device. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
MathMaker is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes will also be announced in the game.
